Can You Handle The :
This event is organised by the Merseyside CTC in accordance with National CTC guidance, and is a Challenge Event; i.e. it is not a race and not a competitive event, and there will be no results published listing riders in finishing order. Riders are invited to complete the event within the generous time allowance.
All riders are required to enter prior to the closing date and must ride under the number they are allocated. No rider will be permitted to ride under the number of another rider and applications for entry are not to be transferred to anyone else.

Entry fees are non-refundable, and may not be transferred to enable another rider to enter.

The course is all on public roads which will remain open to all traffic; therefore riders should ride with appropriate care and respect towards other road users. Whilst much of the course is on quiet lanes, riders should at all times be aware of unexpected traffic, especially farm vehicles.

Any type of cycle may be ridden in the event provided it is roadworthy and in a legal condition.

The event organisers retain the right to withdraw a rider from the event if they consider that he/she is unlikely to be able to complete the event safely and within the time allowance. This may be for a variety of reasons, e.g. concerns about the rider’s health, ability or fitness, or the condition of their cycle.

Riders must at all times ride in compliance with the Highway Code. Riders should not ride more than two abreast and be prepared to single out when appropriate to do so.

All riders under the age of 18 on the day of the event must have the Parental Consent form signed (see Register Notes)

All riders participate in this event entirely at their own risk and the CTC, Merseyside CTC, the Organiser of this event and any other persons involved in the running of this event cannot be held liable for any injury, loss or damage to any rider or any other person, howsoever caused, resulting from this event. All riders are required to sign the Disclaimer on the entry form.

Signing on for registered participants is between 8.15am and 9.15am.(By way of electronic tag)

Data Protection: Merseyside CTC complies with the Data Protection Act and will not disclose any personal information provided on the entry forms to any other organisation or individual, except when it is essential to do so in order to ensure a riders safety, e.g in case of accident or injury.
